PPS & Rakbank win Best Technological Innovation in Payments
PPS, Europe’s leading prepaid payment and digital banking services provider, was delighted to support RAKBANK in winning Best Technological Innovation in Payments (B2C) at the Seamless Awards 2018 in Dubai.
The awards, which celebrate excellence in the payments, ecommerce and retail industries, recognised RAKBANK’s RAKMoney Transfer product as best in class from a shortlist of six. The remittance solution enables users to send funds quickly and easily to India, Sri Lanka, The Philippines, Nepal and Pakistan via the C3 Payroll Card.
In partnership with parent company Edenred, PPS’s prepaid card infrastructure enables blue-collar workers in the UAE to receive instant salary transfers onto the C3 card. Cardholders can then transfer funds to their beneficiaries’ accounts at any time through RAKMoney Transfer via the C3 Mobile APP.
The award win comes during a period of strong momentum in the UAE for PPS. In February, the prepaid and digital banking leaders announced the opening of an office in Dubai’s International Financial Centre. During day one of the Seamless Middle East conference, PPS CEO Ray Brash led a speaking slot on launching an inclusion business alongside Marcus Exall, VP of Partnerships for European challenger bank and PPS client, Monese.
"award wins of this calibre serve to drive us on to continued success in the region..."
Ray Brash, CEO of PPS, said: “Attending Seamless Middle East 2018 has been a pleasure, and a highly strategic event for our ambitions in the UAE. We are proud to have already delivered digital, innovative and financially inclusive products in the region with our parent company Edenred and our partner C3, and award wins of this calibre serve to drive us on to continued success in the region.’’
